Tests Details :
MRI – Sternoclavicular Joint is an advanced imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to generate detailed images of the sternoclavicular joint, where the collarbone meets the breastbone. It provides excellent visualization of bones, cartilage, ligaments, and surrounding soft tissues.
This scan is useful in diagnosing joint pain, inflammation, infections, trauma, dislocations, and degenerative conditions. It is also helpful in detecting tumors or abnormalities affecting this joint. MRI offers high accuracy and does not involve radiation, making it a safe and effective diagnostic tool.
This test is recommended for individuals:
- Experiencing pain near the collarbone or upper chest
- With swelling or tenderness in the joint area
- Suspected of joint injury or dislocation
- Having limited movement of the shoulder or upper chest
