Tests Details :
MRI – Brain with CISS 3D (Constructive Interference in Steady State) is an advanced MRI technique that produces ultra-high-resolution images of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) spaces and fine neural structures. This sequence is particularly useful for detailed visualization of cranial nerves, inner ear structures, and areas surrounded by fluid.
This scan is highly effective in detecting small lesions, nerve compressions, vascular loops, and abnormalities affecting structures such as the trigeminal nerve, vestibulocochlear nerve, and internal auditory canal. It is commonly used in evaluating conditions like trigeminal neuralgia, hearing loss, vertigo, and suspected nerve-related disorders.
MRI with CISS 3D provides excellent contrast between fluid and surrounding tissues, allowing precise identification of even subtle abnormalities. It is often used as an adjunct to routine brain MRI for enhanced diagnostic accuracy. The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation.
This test is recommended for individuals:
- Experiencing unexplained facial pain (e.g., trigeminal neuralgia)
- With hearing loss, tinnitus, or vertigo
- Suspected of cranial nerve disorders
- With abnormalities in inner ear or auditory pathways
- Requiring high-resolution brain imaging
- With inconclusive routine MRI findings
