The TC DC ESR test is a combination of three important blood investigations: Total Count (TC), Differential Count (DC), and Erythrocyte Sedimentation Rate (ESR).

  • Total Count (TC) measures the overall number of white blood cells in the blood.
  • Differential Count (DC) provides the percentage of different types of white blood cells such as neutrophils, lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils, and basophils.
  • ESR measures how quickly red blood cells settle at the bottom of a test tube, which can indicate the presence of inflammation in the body.

This combined test is useful for detecting infections, inflammatory conditions, autoimmune diseases, and monitoring ongoing treatment.
