Urine for Fat Globules is a microscopic examination used to detect fat particles (lipids) in the urine. Normally, fat is not present in urine, and its presence is considered abnormal.

This test is commonly associated with nephrotic syndrome, a kidney disorder characterized by excessive protein loss in urine.

A urine sample is examined under a microscope to identify fat globules. Special staining techniques may be used to highlight lipid particles, which appear as refractile droplets or oval fat bodies.
