The Tissue Transglutaminase (tTG) IgG & IgA test is a combined blood test used to detect both IgA and IgG antibodies against tissue transglutaminase, an enzyme involved in celiac disease.

This dual testing approach improves diagnostic accuracy by covering individuals with normal IgA levels as well as those with IgA deficiency. The presence of these antibodies indicates an immune response to gluten, which can damage the lining of the small intestine.

The purpose of this test is to

  • To detect tTG IgA and IgG antibodies
  • To screen for celiac disease
  • To assess immune response to gluten
  • To improve diagnostic accuracy in IgA deficiency
  • To guide further diagnostic evaluation

Tests Prepration :
