The Tissue Transglutaminase (TTG) – Deamidated Gliadin Peptide (DGP) Screen is a combined blood test used to detect antibodies associated with celiac disease.

This test measures antibodies against tissue transglutaminase (tTG) as well as deamidated gliadin peptides (DGP), providing enhanced sensitivity and specificity. It is particularly useful in children and in individuals with IgA deficiency, where standard tests may be less reliable.

The presence of these antibodies indicates an immune response to gluten, which can damage the intestinal lining and lead to malabsorption and other symptoms.

Test Recommended For

  • Individuals with symptoms of celiac disease
  • Patients with chronic digestive issues
  • Children suspected of gluten intolerance
  • Individuals with IgA deficiency
  • Patients advised for advanced celiac screening
