The Glucose Challenge Test (50 g) is a commonly used screening test to assess the risk of gestational diabetes in pregnant women. It involves consuming a 50-gram glucose solution, followed by a blood test after one hour to measure how the body processes sugar.
Unlike other glucose tests, this test does not require fasting and is usually performed between the 24th and 28th week of pregnancy.
