CLOTTING TIME Test Purpose

This Test measures the time it takes for blood to form a clot after it is collected. It is one of the basic screening tests used to evaluate the body's blood clotting (coagulation) process and helps identify abnormalities that may lead to excessive bleeding or delayed clot formation. Although more advanced coagulation tests are now widely available, the Clotting Time Test continues to provide useful preliminary information about the intrinsic clotting pathway.
