Tests Details :
MRI – Foot is an advanced imaging procedure that uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce detailed images of the foot, including bones, joints, cartilage, ligaments, tendons, muscles, nerves, and surrounding soft tissues. It provides excellent visualization of both structural and soft tissue components, making it highly effective for accurate diagnosis.
This scan is commonly used to detect fractures, ligament injuries, tendon tears, plantar fasciitis, arthritis, infections, tumors, and inflammatory conditions. It is especially useful in evaluating foot pain, swelling, sports injuries, or unexplained symptoms. MRI can also identify conditions that may not be clearly visible on X-rays or CT scans.
The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation, making it suitable for repeated imaging if needed.
This test is recommended for individuals:
- Experiencing persistent foot pain or discomfort
- With swelling or limited movement in the foot
- Suspected of fractures or soft tissue injuries
- Having sports-related foot injuries
- With infections or tumors in the foot region
- Requiring detailed evaluation of foot structures
