USG – TVS (Transvaginal Sonography) is an advanced pelvic ultrasound procedure performed using a specially designed ultrasound probe inserted gently into the vagina to provide clear and detailed images of the female reproductive organs. This scan helps evaluate the uterus, ovaries, cervix, fallopian tubes, and surrounding pelvic structures.

The test is commonly recommended to investigate pelvic pain, abnormal bleeding, menstrual irregularities, infertility concerns, ovarian cysts, fibroids, early pregnancy evaluation, and other gynecological conditions. Compared to routine abdominal ultrasound, TVS provides more accurate and high-resolution imaging of pelvic organs.

The procedure is safe, minimally invasive, and does not involve radiation exposure. It is generally painless, though mild discomfort may occur during the examination.
