USG – LATE PREGNANCY WITH DOPPLER (SINGLE) is an advanced obstetric ultrasound examination conducted during the third trimester or late stages of pregnancy for women carrying a single fetus. The scan combines routine fetal assessment with Doppler imaging to monitor fetal health and blood circulation between the mother and baby.

The ultrasound component evaluates fetal growth, estimated fetal weight, heartbeat, movements, fetal position, placental location, and amniotic fluid levels. It helps assess overall fetal development and identify complications such as growth restriction or reduced amniotic fluid.

The Doppler study measures blood flow in important maternal and fetal blood vessels, including the umbilical artery, middle cerebral artery, and uterine arteries. This helps determine whether the fetus is receiving adequate oxygen and nutrients through the placenta and can aid in detecting placental insufficiency or compromised fetal circulation.

This scan is especially important in high-risk pregnancies and assists doctors in monitoring fetal well-being, planning treatment, and determining the safest timing and mode of delivery.
