Tests Details :
USG – KUB (Kidneys, Ureters, and Bladder) is a non-invasive ultrasound examination that uses sound waves to create detailed images of the urinary system. The scan evaluates the size, shape, position, and structure of the kidneys and urinary bladder, while also assessing the ureters when visible.
This examination helps detect kidney stones, urinary obstruction, hydronephrosis (swelling of the kidneys), infections, cysts, tumors, bladder abnormalities, enlarged prostate-related urinary retention, and other urinary tract conditions.
KUB ultrasound is commonly recommended for patients with abdominal pain, flank pain, burning urination, blood in urine, urinary infections, difficulty passing urine, or suspected kidney and bladder disorders. It is safe, painless, radiation-free, and often used for routine diagnosis as well as follow-up monitoring of urinary conditions.
