USG – EARLY OB TAS (SINGLE) is an obstetric ultrasound examination performed during the early stages of pregnancy using the transabdominal scanning method. TAS stands for Transabdominal Sonography, where the ultrasound probe is moved over the abdomen to visualize the pregnancy.

This scan is commonly performed during the first trimester to confirm the presence of an intrauterine pregnancy, assess fetal viability, detect the fetal heartbeat, estimate gestational age, and calculate the expected due date. It also helps evaluate the uterus, cervix, ovaries, and surrounding pelvic structures.

The examination may identify early pregnancy-related concerns such as bleeding, abdominal pain, ectopic pregnancy suspicion, miscarriage risk, or other complications. It is usually performed for women carrying a single fetus.

The procedure is safe, painless, non-invasive, and uses sound waves without radiation exposure.
