Tests Details :
USG – ANOMALY (SINGLE) is a specialized obstetric ultrasound examination usually performed during the second trimester of pregnancy, commonly between 18 and 22 weeks, for women carrying a single fetus. The scan provides a detailed assessment of fetal anatomy and development.
During the examination, the doctor evaluates the baby’s brain, spine, face, heart, stomach, kidneys, limbs, abdominal wall, and other major organs and body structures. The scan also assesses fetal growth, heartbeat, placental position, amniotic fluid levels, and cervical status.
This examination helps detect congenital abnormalities, developmental disorders, or structural defects at an early stage and supports timely medical planning and pregnancy management. It is an important part of routine prenatal care and may be especially important in high-risk pregnancies.
The procedure is safe, painless, and uses ultrasound imaging without radiation exposure.
This scan is performed to:
- Assess detailed fetal anatomy and development
- Detect congenital or structural abnormalities
- Evaluate fetal growth and heartbeat
- Assess placental position and amniotic fluid levels
- Monitor pregnancy progression and fetal well-being
- Identify developmental concerns requiring further evaluation
- Support prenatal care and pregnancy management
