Tests Details :
MRI Peripheral Angiogram with Contrast (MR Angiography) is a non-invasive imaging technique that uses magnetic resonance imaging along with contrast material to visualize blood vessels in the peripheral parts of the body, including the arms and legs.
This test provides detailed images of arteries and veins, helping detect conditions such as peripheral arterial disease (PAD), stenosis (narrowing), blockages, aneurysms, and vascular malformations. It is particularly useful in assessing blood flow and identifying areas with reduced circulation.
MRI angiography does not use ionizing radiation and offers excellent soft tissue contrast, making it a safe and effective method for diagnosing and monitoring vascular conditions affecting peripheral circulation.
This test is recommended for individuals with:
- Leg pain while walking (claudication)
- Poor circulation in limbs
- Numbness or coldness in hands or feet
- Non-healing wounds or ulcers
- Suspected peripheral arterial disease
- Diabetes or smoking history
- Vascular-related symptoms
