MRI - Dorso Lumbar Spine

An MRI Dorso-Lumbar Spine test uses strong magnetic fields and radio waves to create detailed images of the lower thoracic and lumbar spine (back), including bones, discs, and nerves. It provides clear visualization of vertebrae, intervertebral discs, spinal cord, nerve roots, and surrounding soft tissues.

This scan is highly effective in diagnosing conditions such as disc herniation, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, infections (including spinal tuberculosis), tumors, fractures, and spinal cord compression. It is commonly recommended for patients experiencing back pain that spans both mid and lower regions, radiating pain, numbness, weakness, or difficulty in movement.

MRI offers excellent soft tissue contrast, enabling early detection of abnormalities and accurate diagnosis. It plays an important role in treatment planning, surgical evaluation, and monitoring of spinal conditions. The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation.
