Tests Details :
MRI – C Spine with Whole Spine Screening is an advanced imaging procedure that focuses on detailed evaluation of the cervical spine (neck region) while also providing a screening overview of the entire spine, including thoracic and lumbar regions.
The scan uses magnetic fields and radio waves to produce high-resolution images of vertebrae, intervertebral discs, spinal cord, nerve roots, and surrounding soft tissues. The cervical spine is examined in detail to identify specific abnormalities, while the rest of the spine is screened for additional issues that may not yet be symptomatic.
This scan is highly effective in diagnosing conditions such as disc herniation, spinal stenosis, nerve compression, degenerative changes, infections, tumors, and spinal cord abnormalities. It is especially useful for patients with neck pain accompanied by symptoms that may suggest involvement of other spinal regions.
MRI provides excellent soft tissue contrast and allows early detection of abnormalities across the spine. It plays a crucial role in comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, and monitoring of spinal conditions. The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation.
