Tests Details :
MRI – Bilateral Wrist Joints is an advanced imaging procedure that provides detailed visualization of both wrist joints in a single session. It evaluates bones, ligaments, tendons, cartilage, nerves, and surrounding soft tissues using magnetic fields and radio waves.
This scan is highly effective in diagnosing ligament tears, tendon injuries, cartilage damage, fractures, joint inflammation, infections, nerve compression (such as carpal tunnel syndrome), and degenerative conditions. It is commonly recommended for patients experiencing wrist pain, swelling, stiffness, weakness, or reduced mobility in both wrists.
MRI offers excellent soft tissue contrast, allowing early detection of subtle abnormalities that may not be visible on X-rays. It plays a key role in diagnosis, treatment planning, surgical evaluation, and monitoring recovery, especially in repetitive strain or sports-related injuries.
The procedure is safe, painless, and does not involve radiation.
This test is recommended for individuals:
- Experiencing pain or discomfort in both wrists
- With suspected ligament or tendon injuries
- Having swelling, stiffness, or weakness in wrists
- With repetitive strain or sports-related injuries
- Suspected of nerve compression or joint disorders
- Requiring detailed evaluation of both wrist joints
