MRI – Abdominal Angiography with Contrast is a specialized imaging procedure that focuses on detailed evaluation of the arterial blood vessels in the abdominal region using contrast-enhanced MRI techniques. It provides high-resolution images of major abdominal arteries such as the aorta, renal arteries, mesenteric arteries, and other vascular structures.

The use of contrast material (gadolinium-based) enhances visualization of blood flow and helps detect abnormalities such as arterial stenosis (narrowing), aneurysms, blockages, vascular malformations, and dissections. It is particularly useful in assessing conditions like renal artery stenosis, abdominal aortic aneurysm, and mesenteric ischemia.

This scan also provides additional information about surrounding abdominal organs, aiding in comprehensive diagnosis and treatment planning. It plays an important role in pre-surgical evaluation, monitoring vascular diseases, and guiding therapeutic decisions.
