FHR / Cervical Length / AFI is a specialized obstetric ultrasound examination performed to assess key parameters essential for monitoring pregnancy health.

The scan evaluates Fetal Heart Rate (FHR) to ensure the baby’s heartbeat is normal and regular. It also measures cervical length, which is important in assessing the risk of preterm labor—shortened cervix may indicate increased risk. Additionally, it measures the Amniotic Fluid Index (AFI) to determine whether the amount of amniotic fluid surrounding the baby is within the normal range.

This test is commonly recommended in high-risk pregnancies or when there are symptoms such as abdominal pain, bleeding, or suspected preterm labor. It helps doctors monitor fetal well-being, assess pregnancy progression, and take timely action if abnormalities are detected.
