Doppler – Carotid and Vertebral Doppler is a specialized ultrasound examination that assesses blood flow through the carotid arteries and vertebral arteries located in the neck. These arteries are responsible for supplying oxygen-rich blood to the brain.

This scan uses Doppler technology to visualize blood circulation, measure flow velocity, and detect abnormalities such as arterial narrowing (stenosis), plaques, blockages, reduced blood flow, or vascular disease. It is highly useful in assessing the risk of stroke and transient ischemic attacks (TIA).
