This test is commonly used to detect conditions such as deep vein thrombosis (DVT), venous blockages, narrowing, or congenital abnormalities of the veins. It provides high-resolution cross-sectional and 3D images, helping in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.

It is a non-invasive and effective alternative to traditional venography in many cases and plays an important role in evaluating venous circulation and related disorders.
