Tests Details :
CT KUB Plain (Computed Tomography of Kidneys, Ureters, and Bladder without contrast) is a highly effective imaging test used to assess the urinary tract. It provides detailed cross-sectional images of the kidneys, ureters, and bladder, helping detect conditions such as kidney stones, urinary tract obstruction, infections, and structural abnormalities.
This scan is particularly useful in diagnosing renal calculi (kidney stones) due to its high accuracy in identifying even very small stones that may not be visible on standard X-rays. Since no contrast dye is used, it is a safer option for patients with kidney impairment or those who are allergic to contrast agents.
CT KUB Plain is quick, non-invasive, and widely used in emergency and routine clinical settings to evaluate abdominal pain, flank pain, or blood in urine.
The purpose of CT KUB Plain test is to evaluate the kidneys, ureters, and bladder.
